Privacy Policy for File Calendar

This policy explains what data File Calendar (“the app”) accesses, how it’s used, and how it’s stored. It’s written to match exactly what the app does — nothing more.

What the app accesses, and why
This release of File Calendar is fully local: it stores everything on your device and does not use the internet at all.

The app does not collect analytics, does not use advertising, does not include any third-party trackers or SDKs, does not require an account or sign-in, does not request the internet/network permission, and does not sell or share your data with anyone (there is no “anyone” to share it with — nothing is transmitted off your device). It does not request camera, contacts, location, or microphone permissions beyond what’s needed to let you pick or capture a photo to attach (handled by the system camera/gallery app, not by File Calendar directly).
Where your data is stored
- On your device only. Attachments and their calendar-day metadata are stored in the app’s private storage. Nothing is uploaded, synced, or backed up to any external service by the app itself.
- This local storage is included in Android’s standard device backup/transfer (e.g. when you set up a new phone), the same as any other app’s data, since it’s the only copy that exists.
Your controls
- Delete an attachment in the app removes it from your device immediately.
- Uninstalling the app removes all attachments and calendar data permanently, unless your device’s own backup (outside this app’s control) retains a copy.
Children’s privacy
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children — it does not collect data from anyone, on or off device.
Future changes
A later release may add optional cloud sync (e.g. Google Drive) as an opt-in feature. If that happens, this policy will be updated first, and the update will describe exactly what’s added, before that release ships.
Changes to this policy
If what the app accesses changes, this document will be updated and the “Last updated” date above will change accordingly.
